Hello, my name is Cary Granderath. Thank you for your interest in living room dining!
With the foundation of my own hostel with cafe & bar in 2019, I was able to fulfill a real dream. My vision was to open a hostel that is characterized by a relaxed, tolerant and above all warm atmosphere. Everyone who enters the living room should perceive it in the same way. As a place of well-being, a second home, a safe haven when travelling and in everyday life. When I look at the reviews of our previous guests, it seems to me that we have succeeded in doing just that.
Our development...
Before that, I worked for many years in various companies as a consultant and project manager. So I have always been in contact with people professionally. But in my current role as owner and managing director of Wohn Zimmer Essen, I would like to consciously shape this contact differently: Away from stiff business talk, towards honest exchange, exciting stories and encounters that leave a mark. I want to welcome all my guests with open arms and have fun learning new things for a long time to come and make my location the perfect student cafe, party meeting place and overnight accommodation in Essen.
